UC
Davis announces the Season-Closing Event for the 2004-2005
Fencing Season, April 9 and 10, on the campus of the University
of California at Davis. Mixed
Novice Foil, Individual Mixed Electric Foil, Mixed Electric Epee
and Mixed Electric Sabre will be held Saturday, April 9. Coed
Team events will be held Sunday April 10. No crossovers will be permitted
during the Team Events. Pre-registration
is $10 per individual on Saturday, $10 per team member ($5 for altnerantes)
on Sunday. Registration at the door will be an additional
$10 per person per event.
Please email all pre-regs to Coach Thom ( tcate@uvm.edu ) with "Davis Prereg
/ (your college)" in the subject line. For prereg, please include the following info:
Full Name
Gender
Weapons to register for
Club affiliation
Any USFA ratings
As of now, the closing times for the event will be
9 for novice
11 for advance foil
12 for advanced epee
12 for advanced saber
Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each weapon, as well as the
top 3 women in each weapon. Winners of the novice foil event and highest
ranked girl will receive a foil. Team awards will be done on the second day.
UC Davis Fencing Club is also pleased and proud to announce the Cow Cup Intercollegiate
Overall Trophy, which official title is still under consideration. This perpetual
trophy will be awarded to the college which has not only performed the best
during the year, but also brought the most fencers (scoring details as of now
are sent as a word attachment).
